CONTEXT #
This guide describes how to share a filtered selection of registrations in AjourInspect & QA (web only) with other users by using the browser’s URL. When you filter in an overview, the URL is updated automatically to contain your selected filters and settings. This is called deeplinking. Deeplinking works for all five note types: Supervisory, Project, Defect, Preregistration and QA.
RELEVANCE #
You need this guide when you want to show a colleague, a collaboration partner or a manager exactly the same registrations that you see yourself. You avoid having to explain which filters the recipient should select, and the recipient avoids setting them up manually. This saves time and reduces the risk of misunderstandings.
PREREQUISITES AND REQUIREMENTS #
- You use AjourInspect & QA in the web version. Deeplinking is not available in the app.
- You have permissions to see the registrations you want to share.
- The recipient has a login to the system and is logged in when they open the link.
- The recipient has permissions to see the same registrations. Without those permissions, the recipient cannot see the registrations, even if they open the link.
GUIDE (step by step) #
Step 1. Click AjourInspect & QA in the main menu. The module overview is displayed.
Step 2. Select the note type you want to work in: Supervisory, Project, Defect, Preregistration or QA. The overview now shows the registrations for the selected note type.
Step 3. Filter the overview so it shows the registrations you want to share. For example, you can select project, group, category, recipient or responsible, search by subject or specify a date period. The overview is updated after each filter, and the number of displayed registrations changes.
Step 4. Look at the browser’s address bar. The URL now contains your selected filters and has been updated automatically. You do not need to save or create anything to get the link.
Note: If you change a filter after copying the link, the change is not included in the copied link. Copy the link again after you have changed your filters.
Step 5. Click in the address bar and copy the entire URL (Ctrl + C).
Step 6. Send the URL to the users who should see the registrations, for example in an e-mail or a chat message.
Step 7. Ask the recipient to click the link while logged in to the system. The recipient gets AjourInspect & QA opened with the same filters as you and therefore sees exactly the same registrations.
Important: The link does not give the recipient extra permissions. The recipient only sees the registrations they have permissions to see.
Tip: Save the link in your own document or as a bookmark in the browser if you often need the same view.
NEXT STEPS #
- Learn how to create and use filters in the registration overview.
- Check permissions for registrations in Administration if a recipient cannot see the expected registrations.
- Use Print or Report generator if the recipient needs the registrations as a document.
