Context #
Every registration in AjourInspect & QA has an associated registration log. The log shows a chronological history of all changes made to the registration, including status changes, forwardings, changes of receiver and responsible, added comments, and information on whether the registration has been copied from or to another registration.
Relevance #
This guide is relevant when you need to trace the history of a registration, e.g. to see who made a given change and when it happened. It can be used to follow the course of a registration, document events or clarify disagreements about what has happened on a registration.
Prerequisites and requirements #
- You must have access to AjourInspect & QA on the relevant project.
- There must be a registration with history for the log to show content.
- You must have permissions to view the log of the registration.
Guide #
Step 1: Navigate to AjourInspect & QA and find the registration you want to see the history for.
Step 2: Right-click the registration and a list of functions opens
Step 3: Select “Show registration log” in the menu that opens.
The registration log opens with an overview of all log lines, sorted with the latest change at the top. Each line shows:
- Time stamp: Date and time of the change
- Changes: A description of what was changed, e.g. that a comment was added, that the forwarded status was changed, that the registration was forwarded to a new receiver, that the receiver or responsible was changed, or that the registration was copied from or to another registration
- Changed by: The name and company of the user who made the change
Use the dropdown field “Users” to filter the log so that only changes made by specific users are shown.
Tip: The number of log lines shown is updated automatically, so it is clear how many lines match the selected filter, out of the total number.
Use the search field to search across the log content, e.g. for a name or a company, if you are looking for a specific event.
Next steps #
- Contact the user shown in a log line if you need more detailed information about a given change.
- Use the registration log as documentation if the course of a registration must be described in a report or in a dispute.
