CONTEXT #
This guide describes how to log in to the EG Ajour app for the first time and synchronize your first project. The guide applies to the EG Ajour app on both iOS and Android, and covers the process from downloading the app until you have access to updated project data on your device.
RELEVANCE #
You need this guide when you are getting started with the EG Ajour app on your mobile device – for example if you are a new user, have received a new device, or want to add access to a system you have not previously had access to in the app. The app lets you work with your EG Ajour projects directly from your phone or tablet, with synchronized data from the system you are connected to.
PREREQUISITES AND REQUIREMENTS #
- You must have an active EG Ajour user with an associated email and password for the specific Ajour system
- You must know the system name or the URL of the system you are going to log in to (the same information you use when logging in in the browser)
- Your device must have access to the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android)
- You must have an active internet connection to download the app and synchronize data
- You must have access to at least one project in the system you log in to
GUIDE (step by step) #
Step 1: Open the EG Ajour app on your device. You are met by the app’s start screen.
Step 2: Select “Add system” to continue to login.
Step 3: Enter the system name in the first field and tap Next. You can use either the full URL of the system (e.g. “https://[systemname].ajoursystem.net”) or just the text before “.ajoursystem.net” (e.g. “[systemname]”).
Note: The app responds with an error message if the system name has been entered incorrectly or if the system does not exist.
Important: If you use the URL, it is important that you use the full URL including “https://”. If you do not, the system will not be recognized.
Step 4: Enter your email and your password in the next two fields, and then tap “Add & login“.
Step 5: Wait while the app validates your information and retrieves the list of projects you have access to.
Step 6: Select your current project from the list once it has loaded. You can scroll through the list or use the search field at the top to find the project.
Step 7: Tap the synchronization button to start synchronizing the selected project.
Step 8: Wait while the synchronization is completed. A status indicator shows the progress.
Step 9: When the synchronization is finished, you have access to the latest project data on your device, and you are ready to get started.
NEXT STEPS #
- Explore the project’s content and functions in the EG Ajour app
- Read the guide on how to make registrations and create notes in the app
- See the associated web user guide for EG Ajour if you also work in the browser version
