CONTEXT #
This guide describes the module menu in EG Ajour (web), which is found in the top navigation bar. From here you can switch between the modules you have access to: Home, AjourInspect & QA, AjourFM, AjourBox and AjourTender. The guide also describes the common help functions available from all modules, and what happens if your user does not have access to any project, or if your user has the role “Level 8 / Tender user”.
RELEVANCE #
You need this guide if you are new to EG Ajour and need an overview of which modules the system consists of, what they are used for, and which help functions are always available. It is also relevant if you experience that one or more modules appear greyed out and cannot be clicked, or that the data you see in a module does not match what a colleague sees.
PREREQUISITES AND REQUIREMENTS #
- You must be logged in to EG Ajour (web)
- Your user must have access to at least one project for the modules AjourInspect & QA, AjourFM and AjourBox to be active
- If your user has the role “Level 8 / Tender user”, only AjourTender will be available
GUIDE (overview of the modules) #
In the top navigation bar in EG Ajour you will find the modules your user has access to. The modules are:
Home This is your dashboard. Here you can see an overview of project changes since yesterday, the last 7 or 30 days, split into comments and status changes, as well as news about the system. You can also find support shortcuts from here, including chat with the AI assistant and the option to send an email to support.
AjourInspect & QA This module is used for inspection, project registrations, defects, preregistrations and QA. From here you can create registrations, filter by status and registration drawings, and access functions such as printing, categories/schemas and report generator.
AjourFM This module shows the BE-board for your projects. You can filter by project, project group, company and responsible user, and you can see the status of activities and components split across stages such as created, activities/components created, reported done, and approved and closed.
AjourBox This module is used for file sharing and organisation. Here you can navigate project folders, upload files, search across folders and see file details such as description, revision, version and size.
AjourTender For a Tender Administrator, this module is used to create and manage tenders. From here you can see an overall overview of your tenders with status (for example Active, Closed or Cancelled), participation, received bids/PQ, as well as questions and answers from bidders.
For a tender user (Bidder or invited user), this module is used to view and access active tenders.
Common help functions In the top right corner you will find a number of icons that are available regardless of which module you are in:
- Notification Center (bell icon): Shows your latest notifications (Prints, Reports and .zip files ready for download, and if you are tagged in annotations)
- Language selector (flag icon): Lets you change the display language
- User guides (question mark icon): Gives access to the system’s user guides
- EG Sasha (robot icon): Opens the AI chatbot, which you can use to get help directly in the system
Note: If your user does not have permissions to any project, or if your user has the role “Level 8 / Tender user”, all modules except AjourTender will appear greyed out and be inactive. If you try to click an inactive module, you are sent on to egsoftware.com39 instead of into the module.
Important: The data you see in each module depends on your role and your project permissions. Two users may therefore experience the same module differently. An example is AjourTender, where a user with the role bidder will only see active and available tenders, while a user with broader permissions, for example a tender administrator, can see all tenders regardless of status.
NEXT STEPS #
- Read the guide for the specific module you are going to work in, for example Inspect & QA or AjourTender
- Contact your administrator if you believe you are missing access to a project or a module you should be able to see
- Explore the user menu (gear icon) to see your settings and any administration permissions
