CONTEXT #
This guide describes a known cause of errors in the EG Ajour app, where buttons, action options or other UI elements are not displayed correctly or are not visible at all. The error is not caused by the app itself, but by the device’s screen or text size settings deviating from the default. The app is designed based on the device’s usual default settings, and an enlarged text or screen size can therefore push UI elements outside the visible area or make them overlap. The guide applies to both iOS and Android.
RELEVANCE #
You need this guide if you experience that somewhere in the app expected buttons or action options are missing – e.g. on the screen with synchronization conflicts, but the problem can in principle occur elsewhere in the app where the layout is sensitive to the font size. What these cases have in common is that the cause is not in the function itself, but in the device’s display settings.
PREREQUISITES AND REQUIREMENTS #
- You must have access to the device’s system settings

Android: #
Step 6: Open Settings on your device.

Step 9: Set the slider to the default or a smaller setting.
Both platforms: #
Step 10: Open the EG Ajour app again and go to the place in the app where the problem occurred. The buttons or action options should now be visible.
Tip: If the problem still occurs after adjusting the text size, other screen display settings on the device (e.g. display zoom or scaling) may also have an effect. Try resetting these to the default.
Note: Because Android menus vary between manufacturers (Samsung, Google, etc.), the exact menu names may differ from the above. Search for “font size” in the device’s settings if you cannot find the menu directly.
NEXT STEPS #
- Continue with the original action in the app once the UI elements are visible again
- See the guide “Synchronization conflicts in the EG Ajour app” if the problem occurred in connection with a synchronization conflict
- Contact EG Support if the problem continues after the screen and text settings have been reset to the default
