Context #
In AjourInspect & QA you can copy an existing registration. Copying creates a new, independent registration with partly the same content as the original.
Relevance #
This guide is relevant when you need to create a registration that is similar to an existing one, e.g. a recurring checkpoint, a standard defect or a registration with the same photos, labels, category and receiver as a previous one. Instead of filling in all fields from scratch, you can copy the existing registration and then simply edit the fields that need to be different by using “Edit registration”.
Prerequisites and requirements #
- You must have access to AjourInspect & QA on the relevant project.
- There must be an existing registration that you want to copy.
- You must have permissions to create registrations on the project.
Guide #
Navigate to AjourInspect & QA and find the registration in the registration list that you want to copy.
Right-click the registration for more options.
Select “Copy registration” in the menu that opens.
A new registration is then created at the top of the list.
Note: All content from the original registration is copied to the new registration, including labels, drawing/GPS, category/list, subject, receiver and responsible.
Note: Comments on the original registration are not copied. If data has been filled in on an associated checklist, this data is not copied to the new registration either.
Important: The new registration automatically gets its own, new registration number. The creation date of the new registration is set to the date on which the copy is made, and will therefore not be the same as the creation date of the original registration.
Next steps #
- Assign a new deadline to the copied registration if it must differ from the original.
- Inform the responsible person or the receiver if the copied registration requires special attention.
