CONTEXT #
This guide describes Folder log, a function in AjourBox (web) that provides a folder-specific view of the activity history for a single folder. AjourBox keeps a full log of all events in the system, including who has downloaded, edited or revised files, and Folder log shows the part of this log that relates to the selected folder.
The log shows a chronological list of actions performed in the folder. Examples of events that are logged:
- File detached – a file has been deleted or moved away from the folder
- Folder download requested – the entire contents of the folder have been downloaded
- Subfolder created from template – a subfolder has been created based on a template
- File attached – a file has been linked to the folder
Each log line shows three columns: Time stamp, Changes (with description) and Changed by (user and e-mail).
RELEVANCE #
You need this guide when you want an overview of what has happened in a specific folder – for example who has downloaded, added or removed files, and when it happened. Full history is kept, and all actions are logged automatically, which makes it easier to ensure progress in the project and to clarify more quickly any conflicts or uncertainties about what has been done in the folder.
PREREQUISITES AND REQUIREMENTS #
- You must have access to the folder whose log you want to see
- AjourBox is permission-controlled, so you can only see logs for folders you have been assigned access to
- Administrators and project administrators have access to all folders and their respective logs
GUIDE (step by step) #
Step 1: Open the desired project in AjourBox
Step 2: Find the desired folder in the folder tree on the left
Step 3: Click Menu at the top left of the content view, or right-click directly on the folder name
