# User settings

Context

Under the gear icon in the top navigation menu in Ajour, you will find a menu with access to user settings, administration, support and sign out. From here you can open the "User settings" page, where you can update your personal information, change your password and adjust your email and language preferences.

Relevance

This guide is relevant if you want to update your personal information, change your password, adjust which email notifications you receive, or change the language of the emails you receive from the system.

Prerequisites and requirements

You must be logged in to your Ajour system.

You must know your current password if you want to change it.

Guide (step by step)

Click the gear icon at the top right of the navigation menu to open the menu.

Select "Settings" in the menu to open the "User settings" page.

Update your personal information in the fields "First Name", "Surname" and "Telephone number".

Note: First name and surname are mandatory fields, while telephone number is optional.

Click "Change password" under the field "Password" if you want to change your password.

Select or clear the checkbox "I want to receive daily status emails for all projects" under "Email settings", depending on whether you want to receive these emails.

Tip: If you clear the checkbox here, the daily status emails for all your projects stop at once. If you only want to remove notifications for individual projects, do this instead under project permissions in user administration.

Select the desired language for your emails in the dropdown field "Language".

Click "Save" to save your changes.

Next steps

Sign out and log in again if you have changed your password, to confirm that the new password works.

Review your project permissions in user administration if you want more detailed control of email notifications per project.
