# Upload file or photo (App)

CONTEXT



This guide describes how to upload a file, an image or a video to a folder in the AjourBox app. The guide is based on the app view.



RELEVANCE



You need this guide when you need to add documentation, images or videos to a project directly from your mobile device, e.g. when you are on the construction site.



PREREQUISITES AND REQUIREMENTS




You must have access to the AjourBox app



You must have navigated to the folder you want to upload to



You must have the necessary permissions to upload files in the folder



You must have allowed the EG Ajour app to access your photos and files



Your device must have an internet connection




GUIDE (step by step)



Step 1: Navigate to the folder you want to upload to.



Step 2: Tap Upload at the bottom of the screen. A bottom menu titled Upload appears with two options.



Note: The menu shows the text "Ensure your phone has internet when importing file to AjourBox".



Step 3: Select Choose file to upload a file from your device's file storage, or Select photo to upload an image or a video from your device's photo library.



Step 4: If you selected Choose file, the device's own file browser opens. Navigate to the file you want and tap it to select it.



Step 4: If you selected Select photo, the device's photo library opens with tabs for Photos and Collections. Tap the image or video you want to upload. A checkmark marks the selected item.



Step 5: Confirm your selection by tapping the checkmark icon in the top right corner.



Step 6: Wait while the file is loaded and uploaded. A short loading indicator is shown.



Step 7: The uploaded file now appears at the bottom of the file list with a checkmark, confirming that the file is saved on your device and uploaded to the folder.

Sort the file list to find the new file quickly



Rename the file if it needs a different name



Download the file again later from another device
