# Search by registration number

CONTEXT



This guide describes how to use the "Go to registration" search function in the Inspect & QA module of the EG Ajour app to find a specific registration by its serial number. The guide is based on the mobile app.



RELEVANCE



When a project contains many registrations distributed across several blocks or registration drawings, it can be time-consuming to find a specific registration by scrolling or clicking through the structure. With "Go to registration" you can instead enter the registration's serial number and jump directly to it - both in lists and on the registration drawing.



PREREQUISITES AND REQUIREMENTS




You have access to the EG Ajour app with a valid login



You have permissions for the relevant project in the Inspect & QA module



You are in the project where the registration was created



The project's data is synchronized, so that the registration is available in the app



You know the registration's serial number (registration number)




GUIDE (step by step)



Step 1: Open the EG Ajour app and navigate to the Inspect & QA module for the desired project. Check that you are in the correct project, as the search only finds registrations within the active project.



Step 2: Tap "Go to" in the bottom menu on the screen.



Step 3: A window with the title "Go to registration" opens. Enter the registration's serial number in the "Enter serial number" field using the keyboard.



Step 4: Tap the arrow (>) next to the search field to confirm the search.



Step 5: If the serial number exists in the project, the app automatically opens the associated registration drawing and zooms in on the registration's location. At the bottom of the screen, an info box with basic information about the registration is shown, including status and recipient.



Step 6: Tap the right arrow in the info box to open the full detail view of the registration, where you can see and edit all information, add comments or change the status.



Please note: If the entered serial number does not exist, the app shows the message "Registration does not exist". Tap Accept, and then check that the number is entered correctly and that you are in the right project.
