# Change project level on a registration

CONTEXT

This guide describes how to change the project level on one or more registrations in Inspect & QA (web). The function lets you move registrations to a different folder in the project structure (e.g. another block or floor) without creating the registrations again.

RELEVANCE

You need this guide if a registration was created in the wrong project folder by mistake, or if a registration must be moved to another part of the project after it has been created. This saves time compared to deleting and recreating the registration.

PREREQUISITES AND REQUIREMENTS

You must have access to Inspect & QA on web

You must have permissions to edit registrations

The desired project folder must already exist in the project structure

You must be prepared to recreate your marking/dot on the registration drawing when you change project level. If needed, take a screenshot or make a printout of the registration before you proceed with the action

GUIDE (step by step)

Step 1: In the list of registrations, right-click the registration you want to move to open the menu with action options. Select Project Levels in the menu.

Step 2: The "Project Levels" window opens. Under "Select registrations" you can choose whether the change is to apply to the Selected registrations or All registrations in the list.

Step 3: Select the new location in the project level structure using the dropdown menus for each level (e.g. block and floor).

Note: You do not have to fill in all levels. A level can be left empty ("-") if the registration is to be moved to a higher level without further subdivision.

Step 4: Click Save to confirm the change.

Step 5: An information box confirms that you are about to change the project level on the selected registrations. Click OK to continue, or Cancel to undo.

Important: Another information box is then shown, pointing out that registration drawings and points are removed from the registration when the project level is changed, as the drawing may not exist on the new project level. Click OK to carry out the move, or Cancel to undo.

Step 6: The registration has now been moved. The new location is shown in the "Drawing/GPS" column in the registration list (e.g. "Block 1 / 1st floor").

NEXT STEPS

Check that the registration appears correctly under the new project level

Add a new registration drawing to the registration if the original one was removed

If relevant, see the guide on changing groups or receiver on a registration
