Here a search dialogue for content is accessed by clicking on a specific Revit category. In this guide, we will start with “Wall”

- Add parameter: Select from dropdown “Family” “Type” or parameter on which you want to search the type
- When selecting a type, you can – in this view – see all the properties the type has associated
- Insert by double-clicking or selecting one or more and then press insert
- Search

- A view of some of the properties chosen for the building element
- Collected properties on chosen building element from Molio

This is a search function providing the user with the opportunity of searching across different Revit categories. You can keep this open all the time in another view next to Revit

- Text-based search
- Number of types on page
- Database: Here you can select the databases you have access to which need to be included in the search
- OrganizationCT / Private cloud
- RevitLocal / Active Revit file
- Manufacturers
- Molio
- Based on the search result in the view Categories can be selected to narrow the search
- Navigation between content pages
2: Family administration
This section will only be visible to system administrators. If you need access to this part of the system, please contact your own system administrator for the right user permissions to be set on your account
Upload
This function is used to upload / publish RVT- & RTE files
Bulk upload
This function is used to publish RFA and RFA files including type catalogues (TXT) from folders
View type overview
Scans the project and compares the project’s content with content in AjourObjects’ private cloud

Each color expresses a status of the origin of the type.
- Green: Comes from AjourObjects (private cloud) This means that the id is known and the type comes from AO cloud. That does not mean it is the latest version (only RFA has version number)
- Blue: The type exists on the cloud, but that type does not have an ID.
- Pink: Family name is known but the type is not known.
- Orange: These are types that are not known on the cloud and therefore are some of the items that can be reused and uploaded to the cloud.
Table
- Category: The category of the object
- Project Family: The name on the project family
- Project Type: Type name on project
- AO Family: Family cloud name
- AO Type: Type cloud name
- Used in project model: If this type is used in the project
- Version: Cloud Revit version compared to the newest “Cloud Revision”
- Created By: The user whom uploaded this object to the cloud
- Created: Creation time
- Updated By: User whom updated this Type
- Updated: Date of object update
- Local Revision: Revision number in Revit project
- Cloud Revision: Revision number on the AjourObjects Cloud
- Exists in AO: Status for the Type origin
- Whitelist: If the type is included on one or more whitelists, they are listed in this column.
Settings

- Molio parameter is included when Molio Content is inserted, see section Transfer parameters
- AjourObjects supports Revit’s disciplines. In this example, the starting point is AjourObjects´ Architecture Ribbon. It is possible to turn off ribbons which the user does not use
- If AjourObjects was to collect data in the background for the search function, when Revit starts. This can improve load times during searches if you toggle this on
If you choose to tick the “Search dialog on top” in the check box, the content search window will stay on top
Transfer parameters
You can choose to include Molio parameters when inserting. To choose which parameters you want to go with the insertion, please go to ‘Parameter Mapping’ at the bottom of the settings window
Parameter mapping
Here we will show you how to map Molio parameters with Revit parameters. This is used to link 3D and 2D elements together which are related to each other. This function can streamline the detailing process by allowing the user to quickly find the retail components or tags related to the 3D object by clicking on it in a section and inserting them directly from “Extra Properties”

- You narrow your search to the categories, families, and types that need to be linked along with retail items, annotations, and tags that match usage
- Here you choose which retail items, annotations, and tags are to be linked together
Preview manager
Provides the system administrator with the opportunity to see, export, and import custom previews on families
We are sorry – but at present, there is no guide available for preview managing
3: AjourObjects system administrator
To get access to these three functions you need to have an administrator role on AjourObjects (Private Cloud). You can view our guide on user administration in AjourContent
Upload from RVT / RTE / Revit project / Warehouse

Under each category, you may find the families. Select one of more families – or select one or more categories – by holding SHIFT while selecting

Upload system family
In the upload view, the user gets a complete overview of what is in the existing warehouse in the Cloud, and the current project upload has been opened from within the family warehouse which is being uploaded to

Exclude

“Exclude” means that the selected type will not be included in the existing warehouse or types from the current project
NOTE: This setting does not affect the project from which it was uploaded
Use new version

The picture shows that the type “Storefront” is already in the warehouse, the object appears in the column “Existing” to the right. It is also found in the current (RVT / RTE) file from which it is uploaded. The object “Storefront” is also visible under “Type Name”
Here you choose whether it is the “new” or existing object that should be in the warehouse
Note: that if the type has been given a new name (re-name) locally, you need to decide whether it is a new or “Existing” Type Name that should be in the warehouse
Bulk upload
Click on the ‘Bulk Upload’ function and select your local folder with families from the pop-up and press ‘OK’

From here you may choose the families / files you wish to upload to the cloud

Please note: BAK-files and .txt files are hidden. Types from ‘Type-catalogue’ will be included in the upload when they are placed in the same folder as the family When you are done, press ‘OK’

If you are importing a file from an older Revit version, you can have the system automatically update the BIM object to a newer version or skip the file. When the upload is done, you will receive a recap of the upload

Upload Family Editor
You can upload directly from family editor, press ‘Upload’
Edit, Delete and Family delete
There are several ways in which you, being administrator, can edit content in AjourObjects
Here are a few ways to work with content. None of the ways is more real than the other. It depends on your organization’s way of publishing and organizing content
Scenario company warehouse
If the company has a warehouse file that contains all content, you, being administrator, make the corrections in the warehouse file and publish from there to the AjourObjects cloud. Read the section Upload from RVT / RTE / Revit project/warehouse
RFA-file editing in folders
If you are working with a concept, where RFA content in the organization is published to folders and from there out to the users, then read “bulk upload”
AjourObjects warehouse
Navigate through the search dialogue for a family warehouse. Select a type and then press edit

Upon this, the warehouse for family “Basic Wall” is downloaded. The selected type is selected and you can edit the type as usual

After editing, you need to press ‘Upload’ again

Navigate to the AjourObjects ribbon and press the ‘Upload’ button, followed by an ‘OK’. The types in the warehouse will be uploaded to the cloud and are available to everyone in the project
Delete and Family Delete

Navigate through the search dialogue to a family warehouse and mark a type in the grid
“Delete” is if you want to delete a ‘type’. This means you have to be in the same Revit version as the type is. To see what version a type is in, add “Versions” which you will find in the column to the right in the dropdown under “Add Parameter”
Delete / remove system families from warehouse can be done with the function “Exclude” during upload of system families. See section ‘Upload‘
On the ‘Family Delete’ button, you can delete an entire family. Remember – that the warehouse on the system family contains, for example, all basic walls, and the delete family will delete the entire warehouse
